Ranji Trophy 2023 Update: Arjun Tendulkar made strong position with fellow bowler, took 5 wickets for 18 runs.

eyes are on Arjun Tendulkar. He is making his first class debut from the current season of Ranji Trophy (Ranji Trophy 2022-2023). In the very first match, he had expressed his intentions by scoring a century. Arjun, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, also bowls fast with his left arm. He is playing for Goa instead of Mumbai. Goa is facing Kerala in a match. At one time the Kerala team was in a very strong position. But on the second day on Wednesday, Arjun along with fellow bowler Lakshya Garg took the last 5 wickets of Kerala for just 18 runs. The whole team was reduced to scoring 265 runs. In response, Goa has also made a good start.

On the second day of the match, Kerala started playing ahead of 247 runs for 5 wickets in the first innings. Rohan Prem was unbeaten on 112 and Sijomon Joseph scored 2 runs. Right arm fast bowler Lakshya Garg got Rohan out LBW on the first ball of the day. In his next over, Lakshya took the big wicket of Jalas Saxena (12). Jalaj hit a four and a six off 7 balls before being caught.

Arjun Tendulkar came to life after this. He bowled Basil Thampi. He got out after scoring one run in 2 balls. Then Vikas Chandran became the third target of the day without opening the account. After this, Arjun wrapped up Kerala’s innings by getting Captain Joseph caught out. He took 2 wickets for 49 runs in 16.3 overs. And Lakshya took 4 wickets for 44 runs. Shubham Desai also got 2 wickets. The entire Kerala team was reduced to 95.3 overs.

In response, Goa had scored 35 runs without a wicket in 11 overs till the news was written. The team’s target will be to take the lead in the first innings. Amogh Desai is playing on 18 and Ishaan is scoring 17 runs.
