The 80th Golden Globes kickstared Hollywood’s award season with a ceremony in Los Angeles hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael.
RRRdirected by SS Rajamouli won Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu, It was also competing for Best Non-English Language Film which was won by Argentina, 1985, RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan as real-life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe, among Hollywood’s most prestigious. Director Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan with wide Upasana Kamineni are attending the Golden Globes. apart from RRRother notable nominees as the films The Banshees Of Inishrin and Everything Everywhere All At Once which have 6 and 5 nominations each. Abbott Elementary leads the slate of TV nods with 5 nominations while The Crown, The White Lotus, Only Murders In The Building, Pam & Tommy and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story have 4 nominations each.
